About
Dr. Nwabuobi earned his undergraduate degree from State University of New York, Purchase College in Purchase, New York and his master's degree from Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. He went on to obtain his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York. Following medical school, he completed his internship and residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Rochester Medical Center/Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York, where he was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society and Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society for his excellence in teaching and patient care. He also received the Urogynecology award and the Obstetrics and Gynecology department award during his time in residency. Dr. Nwabuobi completed his Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship training at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine/Tampa General Hospital in Tampa Florida, where he won the Outstanding Fellow Trainee Poster award during the annual USF Health Research Day. Dr. Nwabuobi has published extensively and lectures frequently on perinatal topics. Dr. Nwabuobi is a member of the Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine, the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, American Institute for Ultrasound in Medicine, and the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Nwabuobi’s primary clinical interests include preeclampsia, fetal growth restriction, fetal therapy, global health, and telemedicine. He is the President of Get Well Africa, a global health education initiative he co-founded during his time in residency. Dr. Nwabuobi lives in the Columbus area with his wife and children. He enjoys reading, music, sports, travel, and spending time with family and friends in his spare time. Dr. Nwabuobi is dedicated to providing specialized perinatal care to the pregnant women of the greater Columbus area and beyond.
