Risa Long, PhD

About

As a clinical psychologist, I specialize in behavioral health services and treat conditions such as depression and anxiety. I believe that all patients want to be understood and deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. I focus on establishing strong therapeutic alliances, which facilitate trust and the treatment progress. I understand the needs of those who may be experiencing a variety of psychosocial stressors, especially from our underserved communities, and am passionate about providing the highest quality care possible.

I enjoy working at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center because of the interdisciplinary approach to health care, and appreciate that the Department of Family and Community Medicine values behavioral health.

My free time is mostly spent with my daughter, extended family and friends. I also enjoy watching football, dancing, going out to eat and attending church.
